Waveney Folk Club - What's On

John and Pauline can be found singing their original songs in folk venues around East Anglia. They have also supported top folk band Show of Hands.
They always enjoy performing their songs in front of a live audience; and without doubt audiences like to hear and see them perform. They started writing and performing their songs in 1979. Their early musical influences are indeed varied.
Writing songs and tunes particularly with influences from the British and American traditional music community. Additionally influences from jazz and music hall are present within their compositions. John and Pauline enjoy writing songs about a wide range of subjects. Always of course preferring their songs to tell a good story, very much in keeping with the folk song tradition. The Waveney Folk Club looks forward to the return visit from John and Pauline Pearce.

 

Local singers and visitors entertain tonight as we celebrate the season of spring-time. Yes the opportunity for performers to play their favourite songs and tunes that might, or might not ,have a connection to this time of the year. Hopefully the more connections the better…..
There will be no door charge tonight just a collection to cover the cost of hiring the hall.
